This post describes how to increase sessions, processes and transactions in oracle.
Log in as sysdba
sqlplus / as sysdba
Check existing settings for sessions, processes and transactions.
Oracle recommending formula for determining these parameter values are as follows.
processes=x
sessions=x*1.1+5
transactions=sessions*1.1
Now alter settings as follows.
Restart the oracle server (listerner)
Log in as sysdba
sqlplus / as sysdba
Check existing settings for sessions, processes and transactions.
show parameter sessions;
show parameter processes;
show parameter transactions;

alter system set processes=500 scope=spfile; alter system set sessions=555 scope=spfile; alter system set transactions=610 scope=spfile;
